FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you do this?

I've always loved Christmas Lights, Music, and Computers. This was a way to combine them all and do something unique and different. As with others, the real reason though is because it celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. It is another way to express our love for Him and what He has done for us and mankind. We hope that those who watch our display draw a little closer to God.

How do you do it?

A lot of time and a bit of money and technology (grin). Our system runs on a dedicated PC (which we already have in the garage and use for other things as well), and uses the LOR (Light-O-Rama) hardware and software. We currently have 2 of the 16-channel LOR controllers driving the 32 channels in use. We then use the LOR Sequence Editor to create all the effects to go along with the music. As you can imagine, this is a very time consuming task.
